Barbara Meeks began her career on the musical end of the education spectrum. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Miami University (Oxford, OH) before becoming the Instrumental Buyer at Mannerino’s Sheet Music in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1989 she began working for The Lorenz Corporation as an instrumental music editor. After the creation of the Classroom Resources division of Heritage Music Press, she wrote and edited general music projects while working as Vice President of Marketing for the Corporation. In 2008 she was named President of Lorenz Educational Press, a publishing division focused on creating titles covering core subjects for the non-music classroom. She currently lives in Miamisburg, Ohio, and when not working enjoys traveling and cooking. She has two children, Bonnie and Patrick.
